Creating your first event

In this article, we will understand how to create an event, step by step and what types of events you can have on Spotix. Kindly go through our End User License Agreement and Terms to see the kinds of events we don't allow.

There are two primary types of events that can be created on Spotix: one-time events and event collections. A one-time event is defined as an occurrence that takes place only once, centered around a singular theme or concept. In contrast, an event collection, or group event, consists of multiple one-time events. If you are organizing a series of events that recur on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis, it is advisable to categorize them within an event collection.

To create a one time event, visit the event creation page and select the one time event. Then you'll enter the event creation proper.

We shall run through the various sections and what's on them very quickly

• Event Info: The event information section is where you'd provide basic information about your event. Things like the name, description, images ​etc. You may upload up to 8 images about your event which will be visible on your event page.
• Location: The location section is where you set the venue of the event. We usually use the location of your event to give you weather predictions on your event day.
• Date & Time: In this section, you'll set the date and the time your event will happen.
• Pricing: Set if your event will be free or it'll have pricing. You may also choose who pays the platform and payment provider's fees. You may also choose when you want a ticket type to go on sale.
• Additional Settings: You may set things like the event's page color (deprecated) and collaboration status.
• Affiliate: In this section, you'll set up an affiliate if one of our affiliates introduced you to the platform.

With that you're set to publish your event on Spotix.
